One, one of the eggs hatched last night. From what I've read, the chick emits a cheep-cheep noise from inside the egg and tries to make his way out with a special tooth and then the parents have to help it. Well, there was a huge commotion in the nesting house last night so it was probably the internal cheep-cheep and this morning, I saw one of the eggs with a big hole at the top and I thought it was still moving. The birds weren't touching it though. But we lost the first bub. Poor thing. It had such a cute little beak and cute little wings and it was still in the shell with the sac still partly on it. Our parent birds didn't know what to do. It's their first clutch after all and they just have no idea. Neither do we. We're hoping the other two eggs make it. Expected hatching dates: tomorrow for the second egg and two days after for the last one.
Two, I have been flat as (really busy, to you) what with longer hours for stocktake at my retail job and BAS (business financial statement) due for our business. Plus, the garden, the chores, and Wii to play LOL
Three, it's 95 cents to the greenback, baby! Now if only I can get my PR visa through so I can start working on my other visa applications straightaway.
I am in dire need of a good book to read. I've just finished a thriller written by someone who was the Dan Brown of suburbia (LOL ok he was the Dan Brown of something from the blurbs on the back) and it's just reminded me why I'm not a Dan Brown fan. Wasted money. Any suggestions?
