I know it has all been memes lately, and it's not that I've turned into a meme monster, but that I don't really have time to blog anymore *gasp*
So I am writing this in the dark, while 4 tiels sleep. Our little Lutino tiel Abbe laid 3 eggs a week ago. Gestation is 21 days methinks so we shall see if we shall have squalling little things in another two weeks. Daz is thrilled, I am less so. Why? Because at the end of the day, I am the one who sees to their daily needs and I'm not sure I want three more, but will probably do my best if we get three more. Hay. Do I make sense? It's just that I take these responsibilities very seriously. I'm not the type of person who gets a pet and then puts it in a cage all the time/neglect it because it has become an inconvenience. I hate people like that, those who don't step up and suck it. It's like having kids. [soapbox] If you don't think you'll be committed to giving the pet a quality life, don't bother getting one. [/soapbox]
Also, things are getting a bit exciting on the travel front. We've decided to take advantage of the strong Aussie dollar and plan 2 big trips next year. Downside is, traveling with a green passport. No haters please. I just resent having to submit all sorts of records to prove you won't be like a gazillion others who skipped out on their visas. Nyeta.
Also (maybe I should count all the paragraphs that start with this, hey?), we've started a veggie/herb patch in the garden. I know, who'd 'ave thunk it? Okay, so I only do watering duty, but all sorts of stuff have started to shoot: peas, carrots, squash, watermelon, tomatoes, egglants, a shitload of herbs and some flowering plants. It's amusing now, but I bet the fascination will fade sooner than I think it would.
Also, things are busy on both work fronts (Daz and I) and that's good :) So if I don't update, that's a good thing :D
