Apparently everyone is going crazy over this guy and his song, The Remedy. I don't listen to the radio, so I never know what's hip and hot. I like surfing for new music on the net and listening to the samples and if I like them enough, I buy the CDs. So what I have in my CD player is almost always never what's popular. I love all sorts of music but what draws me to a song is not how it sounds (though that is a close second), but the words. And I have had the pleasant experience of listening to artists years before they actually become popular. And years after they do.
So it was a surprise to learn from a friend of mine that Jason Mraz is currently the next big thing, like John Mayer was. I was like "what? right now, while i'm listening to him?!" I discovered his music last year (and he actually had a concert here! duh--where was i?) and the very first song I listened to and the one I still love the most is the one that contains those words up there.
