Here are our new babies (getting more adventurous everyday!). The two oldest have hit their 14-day mark today and are growing their pin feathers on their wings, cheeks, tail and crest.
I clean their nesting box everyday, handle and talk to them so that they know who I am and will grow up tame and human friendly like their parents. Unlike their parents though, we chose to not handrear them because I still am not confident of my abilities to use a crop needle and because Daz and I are away from the house for a significant part of the day that we cannot stick to a feeding schedule at all.
The first two already show gray and yellow pins, so I am assuming they will be cinnamon pearls like their dad. The youngest though, is showing that it might end up a lutino pearl like the mom :) Can't wait another two weeks until they're nearly fully feathered.
